And think about what Job's reaction would be after hearing that all the horrible things he went through was because God was just trying to prove a point to Satan. I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty pissed, and that's the point where I'd renounce God.
I'm wondering if it wasn't the case that Job was just a really devout follower of God, but he was too stupid to realize that God was fucking him over.
