I would have been more clear to state "The god Christians believe exists is a bigot, and Christians agree with their concept of god, so I stand by the accuracy of my statement.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression you thought God did not exist. In which case how can he be a bigot hmm?
Your statement is not internally consistent.
A generalisation such as you made is only defensible if a group has a reasonable degree of homogeneity, which "christians" palpably don't. One cannot use the existence of a straightforward God and a uniform adherence to his teaching to defend a generalisation without proposing the existence of such a god.
If you're attempting to appear knowledgeable, then why are you acting so ignorantly?
Since I don't, I'm merely trying to understand you, that must be why I'm seeming ignorant. I don't mind that, ignorance is the first step of learning.
I'm afraid your clarification does not help. If "the god" Does not exist then whether or not he is a bigot is defined by what Christians believe him to be.
You speak of the concept Christians have of God. But is this a simple concept? Do Christians, from nazis to wbc to the amish have the same concept of God? Because if so, He might be a bigot. But if their views are different then they might also be different.
Here's one. The actions of God in the OT are genocidal. Is it thus accurate to say that since Christians follow that God that all Christians are genocidal? He is also described as jealous, does that mean ALL Christians are jealous?
