Never read the Ten Commandments?
I presume you don't regard stealing a persons rightful wages as theft.
I suppose you never saw anything in the bible about greed.
BTW - the only thing 'granted' by you about the bible is that you either haven't read all of it or can't remember.
The ten commandments. Indeed, part of a monologue by God giving instructions to his people. Exodus 20. Which is Immediately followed by exodus 21 where he goes on to say
"These are the laws you are to set before them:
Hebrew Servants
2 “If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything. 3 If he comes alone, he is to go free alone; but if he has a wife when he comes, she is to go with him. 4 If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the woman and her children shall belong to her master, and only the man shall go free."
So if Gods sanction against Stealing was meant to apply to not Stealing wages (although slavery is far more than that) how come IN THE VERY NEXT CHAPTER he goes on to give instructions on how any children born to a slave BELONG TO THE MASTER even after the slaves 7 years are up. An oblique prohibition followed by a direct endorsement? Nah, that doesn't work.
Sorry Lion, you're trying to make it say something it doesn't and ignoring what it palpably does.
