(December 7, 2008 at 5:01 pm)Psalm 23 Wrote: "The archaeologists claim the cave dates from the period between the years 33 and 70 and that the site was both a dwelling place and a site of early Christian worship. This would mean it was used by Christians in the years immediately following the death of Jesus in Jerusalem."
This should teach those who do not believe Jesus Christ existed a little lesson! This Cave was occupied in 33 A.D. 20 years before the first Gospel recorded Jesus' life.
So, where these Gospels actually lying or telling the truth about this man who the Jews claimed was, "The Christos?"
If Jesus was not a miracle healer, and a Divine leader, then why did so many people worship him decades before the Gospels?

And the final two lines of the article ...
In November 2005, Israeli archaeologists made similar claims for a site at Megiddo, near the biblical Armageddon. They discovered ancient mosaics within the grounds of a prison.
There is some skepticism within the archeological community about this latest discovery as it claims to be so much older than existing Christian churches.
... don't phase you at all? It's also worth noting that many of us probably accept that Christian Gnostics worshipped much earlier, possibly even before the time of your claimed Christ, I certainly don't have a problem with that idea but, even if it were real, it doesn't validate the essential core claims of Christianity.
