Notice he says eye and not eyes. The eye is what opens with enlightenment. It's been known for ages, but if you discount the possibility, you are blinded by the light. It must be transcribed, just as DNA goes through a process of transcription. Light or darkness. This is your choice by faith or hatred of God. Next, the context moves to the material world and the thing that blinds. He uses money, but this is only symbolism that engages greed, pride and so on. Selfishness is the beast of animal nature.

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Here, Samuel was being told to look under the hood. God does the same. When the Hey was added to Abram, he became a new creation. only God can create us, but faith is necessary. We share the bread, or grains of seed ground to flour. It must be baked (Trials). AbraHam was placed in a trial of his faith when God asked for Issac to be sacrificed. God never intended to take Issac. All of this is parable to show us how God manages our sentience.

Luke 11:33-36

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.”

Prepare the soil by thought, words and deeds. This starts with our reverence and faith in God. God can be trusted. Most Atheists are not deniers of God. They are simply angry with Him. He is invariant.

Eyes and ears are blind until this happens.

John 6

Simply knock on the door in faith. This is you coming to God.
