I haven't read too much on the issue. My parents are environmental hobbyists. I'm not. I am tolerant of environmentalists, but I'm also tolerant of libertarians. We all have a right to pursue happiness, but it doesn't mean we'll all be happy all the time.
That said, in the past two years, I have been in two heat waves---one in Riverside, the other in Indianapolis, Indiana---where it got up to 106°F (about 42°C). The Riverside heatwave resulted in a trip to the ER for dehydration. I don't remember being in anything like that before in southern California or the midwest. There has to be some reason for it, and we're doing enough industrially that the global warming argument makes sense to me.
