When God created man He created us in His image and likeness. So we were created with, as you put it "original grace" and not "original sin" because we were created as a reflection of His character and nature. It wasn't until we rejected Him that sin entered into the world. Not His fault but ours.

If you define "not worthy" as unable to obtain salvation through personal rightousness then I agree God says we are not worthy without him because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory (His image and likeness) of God.

God sees our need (for salvation something we cannot do ourselves through personal rightousness) so He does it for us (doctrine of salvation/attonement) then helps us to live more closely to His character and nature (doctrine of sanctification). This is exactly what a loving parent would do.

It needs to be both. People need to understand that their self-rightousness is not of enough value to obtain salvation but also knowing that "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." If you want to see your value to God, then read the crucifixion account of Jesus and understand He did that both because of you (your sin) and for you (how much He loves you).
If it could be proven beyond doubt that God exists...
and that He is the one spoken of in the Bible...
would you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ?
