Christians in general are not totally against education they are only against any form of education that contradicts their beliefs. The most popular case of this is that of Galileo Galilei for supporting Copernicanism and its belief in heliocentrism. Not impressed at all with the list of Christian scientists you have provided, I am sure if any of us wanted to we could compile a list of atheist scientists as well. Again this goes back to my first reply that Christians are against any type of education when it contradicts their doctrines and beliefs.

This atheist never made or even thought of this last statement.
