Jesus preached taht we help the poor, which I agree we should do and which I also do. He also preached "do not steal." Everyone wants more taxes as long as they're taking it from somebody else. My comment was not meant to be uncaring of people's plights. I worked minimum wage jobs through high school and college. Minimum wage jobs were never meant to provide a living. Small businesses are often operating on a very narrow profit margin and an increase in the minimum wage could put them out of business. Democrats don't care about people like that or middle income workers who have also been squeezed from both ends with stagnate wages and increased taxes. Then I have to listen to to all the mindless comments about republicans. Look at yourself and decide how much you're doing to help the poor and needy.
