Let me see if I can use a different example.
Vegetarians are people who do not eat meat, and most but not all include fish as meat.
Some of them are very anti-carnivorous. They despise people who eat meat. Look up Onision on Youtube for a perfect example of one.
Now if I were to suggest that vegetarianism has a dogma that eating fish is bad, and/or that vegetarianism dogma despises people who eat meat I would be just plain wrong. Just because some vegetarians hold to this practice in this way, does not mean it is a dogma of vegetarianism. All it takes for someone to be a vegetarian is not to eat meat. That's it.
That is what I'm trying to get across to you about atheism. Any individual atheist can have its own reasons to believe or not believe in one thing or another, but the only thing that defines him or her as an atheist is not believing in gods. So if you meet someone who identifies him or her self as an atheist, you can assume he or she believes that the Theory of Evolution is accurate, but that is by no means a given. You might assume he or she thinks that the Earth is 4,6 billion years old, but that is in no means certain. The only thing you can be sure of, is that he or she does not believe in gods. Whatever an atheist does believe in, you only need to ask that individual.
