I have a question that I have been pondering for sometime now. Perhaps a christian theist can answer it. Does god have rules he needs to follow? For instance the reason I ask is why god needed to send Jesus to suffer for sin? why cant he forgive sin? If god is all powerful why not forgive and for go the whole Jesus suffering in the first place? So is God bound to a rule that says he (the Father) cant forgive sin unless he (the son) suffers for it? why go through the trouble, confusion and utter ridiculousness unless he is bound to not forgive? If so who or what is stopping him? All I can say is if I had created everything time, space, and everything ever to exist why limit myself an all knowing all powerful being to something as trivial as forgiveness??? Seems to be a huge waste of time to create sin and forgiveness and punish for the sin but cant forgive for it. Unless you create a clone of yourself to do it for you?????? Is it only me or is this odd behavior, and thinking for an all knowing being? any thoughts would be great Thanks
