So...... you're saying that before god made Jesus-on-a-stick, it was somehow morally acceptable to force a rape victim to marry her attacker? It was ethical to kill someone for gathering wood on a Sunday? It was righteous to stone to death disobedient children?
I don't know about god, but I don't think those things were any more ethical before the cross than after. In fact, I can't imagine a time when any of those things should have been considered anything other than morally repugnant. Why do the Jesus People™ seem to think that these things used to be so much more acceptable than they are now?
