Seriously, doesn't any alarm bells go off in your head? You are not even allowed access to the text of your faith, you have to rely on your parents to interpret for you? Here's a lesson for you; source criticism. The closer you can get to the original source, the better. So in order to know the bible, you have to read it. Hearing it from your father is a secondary source, which isn't as accurate or reliable. And I'm sure that if your parents feel like you've "misunderstood" anything you've read, that they'll gladly and readily plant more of their own thoughts in your head.. I honestly think they're using your mental state as an excuse to keep you from finding out yourself.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
