Two things here:

There is no end destination of "the truth". It's something we'll be constantly learning until the day we cease to exist. It will never be over.

Second, the phrase "I want to know the truth" is in itself meaningless. You need to know the truth about something. "Truth" isn't independent of something that can be described as true or false.
