Something I've observed over the years during my time as a "practicing" Christian, is that people who convert as adults, have tremendous zeal for witnessing. More so than life long Christians who were raised in the faith. Hard to really explain unless you've observed it a lot, and I have. Friends of mine who converted to Christianity during adulthood feel this need to "save souls" and so on.
It can come across as a little strange and intrusive if you haven't been around such people. When I was a Christian, I remember one of my friends just over the top with "correcting" me and chastising me. It's not uncommon in adult converts to see that type of almost intrusive behavior.
Think that's important to note in case you ever encounter something similar. Could have been other motives idk but I think that was the driver of it.
If there is a god, why does he need mere mortals to round up the troops? lol
I'm glad I left that confusing world behind.
