I have not seen the film and I might not until it is out on DVD. If I had seen it before reading this article, something informs me even my gaydar would not have pinged at watching it. I suppose, as someone already mentioned, that people will perceive what they want based on their own agendas and prejudices.
Of course, I am not completely guilt free of attempting to find hidden messages in films to corroborate my own perceptions as it relates to my life, but at least I do not twist the messages in a derogatory way that shines a veritable light on evil intentions born of malice.
