It's best to accept reality

I think hope is always a good thing. If you're in a fox hole and a bullet tore through your artery, and there you were slowly bleeding to death, it's gonna be easier for the person who has faith that Jesus and His Angels will be there, shortly followed by an eternity of bliss, than it will be for the one who expects only blackness, death, decomposition, and nothingness.

If Religion is used the wrong way however, it can have the opposite effects. It's all about how you let the beliefs effect you that will determine whether they enhance or destroy your life.
