I've heard so many of the "step-on-a-crack-break-your-mother's-back" bullshit rules that attend every single religion I've ever encountered -- and that's quite a few of them, since I and my siblings were little religious experiments for our parents. They did not attempt to influence us in any way re religion, instead exposing us to as many different faith cultures as they could manage -- which is too many to name here. Result? Instant little atheists.
Every time I hear some religious person recite one of their "rules," whether it concerns when and what to eat, what clothing must be worn, what rituals must be followed, when to fuck and when to fart and everything else in between, I just smile a little and feel grateful that I am not constrained by all that nonsense.
