The bible attributes the origin of Satan to God, he is said to have been one of the most powerful angels in heaven and at the time was known as Lucifer. The word "Lucifer" comes from 2 Latin words:Lux (=light) + ferous (=to bear or carry). Thus the name "Lucifer" means:Light-bearer or Light-bringer. He was the angel according to biblical legend that led a rebellion against God and was later renamed Satan which translates in Hebrew to 'the accuser and in Persian and Arabic to adversary. In the first instance he is always accusing mankind for their evil before god and in the second he is referred to as the enemy of god.
When I say I don't believe in gods of any kind that also refers to demons and angels. In fact, anything that is in the bible regarding supernatural entities is complete fiction to me based on the influence of surrounding myths and cultures.

There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition
