I'm a theistic evolutionist and not a fundie, so my concept of heaven and hell may not be as black and white, or even as defined as theirs are. However, I think I can put myself in the place of fundies when I answer that just because you believe your relative is going to heaven doesn't mean you're not human and don't form bonds with loved ones. So the fact that you won't see them again in this current life is enough to mourn them. Also, death usually comes with suffering, either through disease or violence, and that's a considerable part of the grief.
I would like AngelThMan, being a believer, to explain why Christian's mourn when someone dies though. Never had a response to that one.
How very childishly selfish of you.
So are you saying that you would rather have that loved one stuck here in pain and suffering so you are spared the grief of their death??
