For some reason you don't like it when someone debates with you on a debate forum.

This "debate" is retarded and it usually comes from theists. An argument that all other animals are shit compared to us, even though you're also an animal who suffers.

I mean, person-hood doesn't necessarily mean we give them all the rights we have, did I not go into that or are you just doing some selective reading. There can be a middle ground where we just don't treat them like slaves or slaughter them like we do here in the states. I bet you think Seaworld is just dandy don't ya? it's sickening really. I'll give them rights over going to Seaworld, because I give a damn.

Neanderthals, who knows how they would be veiwed. I doubt they would be considered equal to humans. They probably would be veiwed like a monkey is. I don't consider monkeys to be worthy of person-hood.

You're kidding right? Neanderthals would easily be comparable to us intelligence-wise. You must not know too much about Neanderthal Anthropology huh? The only way I'd see them not being equal is from prejudice out of us Homo Sapiens who are far from not being stupid ourselves at times. And also I don't really give a shit what you think is worthy of being treated with dignity. India didn't give that to the Dolphins to worship the Dolphin by the way, it's based on Neurology, another field of Science you're ignorant of.

As to suffering. I assume you mean that of an animal. I certainly would not torment an animal unnecessarily but if it had to feel a bit of discomfort in the process of being turned into food then so be it. The pleasure I get tasting it's flesh outweighs the discomfort it had to endure to get in my belly.

I can easily say the corollary. If you have to feel a bit of discomfort in the process of being turned into my food then so be it, the pleasure of the taste of your flesh outweighs my discomfort of your suffering.

Whenever I can have an intelligent conversation with another species I'll consider them for person-hood. Until then I consider them food.
