I would feel safer with someone who fears God than someone who feels they have no accountability to anyone. Just my opinion.
That's odd. I feel safer around people who don't need instructions like "don't murder," "don't steal," and "don't bang your neighbor's wife" with the threat of eternal punishment as a consequence.
But given that the Bible and God himself repeatedly endorses and instructs God's followers to sack a city, kill all the children and rape the women, why do you think it is we don't see Christians doing more of that?
Interestingly, many criminals and most serial killers are Christian.
