That's odd. I feel safer around people who don't need instructions like "don't murder," "don't steal," and "don't bang your neighbor's wife" with the threat of eternal punishment as a consequence.
But given that the Bible and God himself repeatedly endorses and instructs God's followers to sack a city, kill all the children and rape the women, why do you think it is we don't see Christians doing more of that?
Interestingly, many criminals and most serial killers are Christian.
The misery of prisons does wonders for turning people to religion. Prison is a gold-mine for missionaries.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
