It is incorrect to refer to our intelligence as a "gift". It is no such thing. It is merely how we evolved. Saying our intelligence is a "gift" is a logical fallacy known as begging the question. By calling our intelligence a "gift" you are presuming that something must have given us this "gift". And, of course, this presumption leads you to conclude that "God" is the gift giver. And you just failed Logic 101.

Our species is the only one capable of believing in a deity, so it's conceptually sound to surmise that we have been set apart.
More bad logic. Because we are the only species capable of believing in a deity, we have been "set apart"? How so? And by who? We are the only species that kills because of a belief in a deity. Does this also indicate that we have been "set apart"?
Quote:And all that = God exists.
And you have perfectly illustrated how a faulty premise (that intelligence is a "gift") leads to a faulty conclusion ("God" exists!).
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.
God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?
