A Question to the Theists Here

RE: A Question to the Theists Here

You either accept it all or use logic and reason and reject it all? If one account is questioned or seems more along the lines of an LSD trip (such as the burning bush), then how you can you logically believe any of it is true? You either accept the entire Holy Book for what it is or you reject it. You can not pick and choose what you want to follow and still call yourself a member of whatever religion you follow. If you believe I am wrong in that assumption, please visit the nearest devout priest, rabbi, what have you for you will surely be told you will burn in hell if you don't repent for your sins.

If any of you wish to pick apart what I have said, and some surely will, then please respond for I like a good challenge and what is religion but the ultimate challenge for a logical mind.

Now why are you trying to lump all christian denominations together. There are denominations that believe the entire Bible is the true word of God. We also believe that salvation only comes through the true belief that Christ is the Son of God and He died on our behalf for remission of sins and that He rose on the third day for our expectation of eternal life. This last sentence is what binds all true christian denominations. Your say that many of use do not believe in the entire Bible as Gods true word because we have different opinions about certain things that are written. There is no logic in that. I'll give you an example that's closer to your understanding. Evolutionist have a core belief in natural selection as the driving force of evolution however many groups of evolutionist do not believe that certain species evolved into another species they see the branches of the evolutionary tree differently so should evolutionist ditch the entire idea of evolution. In my opinion yes but that's me I'm a fundie.

The reason that christianity is a challenge to the logical mind is it's nature. Christianity is of the supernatural and logic can not define the supernatural and the reason being the supernatural mind of God is far above the so-called logical mind of man.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
