Quote:It gives you a reason for your existence: if you follow the teachings of Jesus the goal of your life is to be a good, kind, generous person.Already have that. Don't need religion to have that.
Quote:It gives you a set of permanent moral values that can guide you through your life.Already have that. You don't need belief in god to be moral.
Quote:It can get you a social network on which you can always count on no matter what happens to you. Even if you sin they will help you repent.Already have a social network I can always count on. Don't need belief in god for that. Forget the repent shit. All my friends and family are atheists.
Quote:It is free.So is being an atheist.
Quote:Why NOT believe in God ?No evidence for gods existance.
Quote:That's the whole point... greater appreciation of life as it can be.Already have that. You don't need to have a belief in god to appreciate life. Or have a greater appreciation of it.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
