And we don't even have to go as far back as the "big crunch" for that. Just go back a "mere" 80 million years, and you are walking on a totally alien planet. From the plant and animal life, to the atmosphere to the landscape to the continents themselves.
It's also safe to assume that the earth of 80 million years from now will also be totally unrecognizable to those of us today.
