Being a porn actor is considered a profession?

RE: Being a porn actor is considered a profession?
SERIOUSLY ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!![Image: crazy-monkey-emoticon-170.gif]
Is this pathetic excuse of words the thing that as you said" prove my ignorance?" Are you nuts!!
I have a confession to make I didn't read what you wrote last night because knowing you I assumed that you would write a very either clear or smart point that will refute what I said.
I feel like and idiot why did I thought that? I should have read it from the beginning why the hell did I trusted you.
I can't use that nor I can't neither say that without making a fool of myself.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Woah woah woah. Hold up. Who says you don't need to act?
You have any idea how many porn videos they don't act and start f*****g?<snip>
Are they acting? Or they just smiled to the camera and started to f**k? Because I can't see the difference.
So I think it's fair to assume that what matters in a porn video it's the sex and everything else it's optional.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Where did you get that information?
Here
http://uk.askmen.com/money/how_to_400/436_how_to.html
They advice you to prepare, how to behave, how to performance but they don't touch the acting skills any time.
They even say in the article
Quote:There is a level of professionalism and eroticism needed to make the scene a good one.
But where do you get that professionalism? Shouldn't the word professionalism be replaces for experience? How do you achieve successful eroticism? How do you achieve professionalism? Do you practice your vocal cords like singers in order to say "Oh yeah" more convincing? What number of blow jobs do you in front of a mirror in order to say you are doing it right? In the dress room of the porn filming do they have a dozen different thongs of different shape and colors to assure you have the right one? Do they stop the intercourse scene to apply make up like in any other acting activity?
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: I can guarantee you the very best porn stars are the best because they are pretty damn good at acting.
Yeah the quality of the acting shown in this videos are mind blowing. The quality of diologes it's stunning. The improvisation it's amazing. I mean how complex character don't you think.
<snip>
They deserve an Oscar
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Or at the very least good at giving believable orgasms.
As long as the audience it's horny they will believe the actress got an orgasm. Acting or not acting.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Not only that, a lot of porn has story lines, and some has scenarios that are obviously acted out. Casting couch for example.

Same question again:
Are they acting? Or they just smiled to the camera answered some questions and started to f**k? Because I can't see the difference.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: So, your first assertion is demonstrably wrong.

Really? The only thing that matters? I guess I should think about a career in porn then if the only thing I need is the ability to have sex... oh wait. No.
Why NOT?
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: That's stupid.
Why is it stupid?
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Ofcourse there's a lot more to it than that.
Like…..?
Seriously this is why ask you to back up your statements? You you can say. No you are mistaken and period?[Image: crazy-monkey-emoticon-176.gif]

Yeah because porn it's so complex.[Image: yoyo127.gif]
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Let me put it like this. Do you hire an actual, reputable wedding photographer for your wedding? Or do you let someone who's never taken a photo in his life do it?
I need to see their works first in other to make a decision. I don't care if the reputable wedding photographer it's very unexperienced. If I like how he takes his angles, frames, what shots he decides to take in count and what he discounts, the tone of colors, the expressions he wants to achieve, the after effects he decide to ad to his work, if he decides to not ad effects in the computer at all, the photo composition, if he likes symmetry in his shots, if I desire symmetry in my photos, how he capture textures, the quality of shades and mid tones that appear in his photos, the depth of field, the pattern of lines that he gets. And if I like all that I would hire him instead of the other guy. Besides in most cases new photographers have many advantages over the competition, since they are rookies are open to the suggestion and advice of their clients. However good luck try to convince a wedding photographer who has made many works what kind of photos are the best without hurting his ego.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Duh. You get the wedding photographer.
I judge the quality of work above anything else. If you are one of those person who get's fooled by the extension of other people resume fine by me you can hire whoever you want. But I gotta warn you I studied photography in colleague in order to graduate me in graphic design and I was the firs place in my generation(I can even show you the award they gave me) so my opinion in photography counts as much as yours okay.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Why? Because it's his job.
And the rookie photographer who also applies to the job isn't photography his job as well? Yeah he is inexperienced however they both work on the same field. So if you are gonna try to argue with me at leas say:
because he has more work field
because he has more achievements
because he has more experience in weddings
But not because that isn't his job. If I go and tell the rookie photographer who it's already starting his career: hey I didn't hire you because this isn't your job that's ridiculous. The quality and experience of the competence in the work field ain't gonna decide what's it's his job of expertise. They are both photographers it just happens that one it's more good that the other.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: It's his profession. He has years of experience and knows what looks good on camera.

Years of experience doesn't guarantee you a living. So if I start painting art even if I have no artistic talent at all does that make ma a professional? And if I practice it at all then that it's gonna guarantee me I'm gonna be a professional at it? I talked people who had been to the best schools with high expectations only to fin out that the were idiots.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: That's why he's making a living out of it and not many other people are.

What you are one of those guys who say that if the people in the production or creation of something if have experience that will assure that quality of their work it's good?
  • Jim carrey -The cable guy
  • M. Night Shyamalan -The last Airbender
  • Freddy's Nightmares
  • FLCL manga
  • Wicked Lovely
  • [Rec]º2
  • Karate Kid's -Jakie chan
  • Thinner-Stephen King
  • The Beatles - Number 9
  • Stan Lee - Strippererlla
  • Glitter -Mariah Carey
Should I keep going? I have tons of other examples as well.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: The same goes with porn.
No the same doesn't go with porn I'm making this thread because porn it's the exemption to that rule. At's long ant'd the image it's good and the characters are hot and you have good marketing and funds you could present a clip in which two people just have sex in a room for any reason whatsoever and you have a success. The most famous porn movies in these days don't come from the quality of their work but the popularity of their sources and actresses. If this particular video comes from this popular website many people will buy it period.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Sure there's lots of amateur porn out there, and we can all take those photos at any old wedding. But the people making the money are doing so because of reasons other than the fact they have better cameras and funding.
Wedding photos and adult videos are not the same man. Nor have the same audience, field of work, job parameters, aptitude requirements nor satisfy the same tastes.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Really? You think models don't have to have any skill or put in any work?
WERE DID I F*****G SAID THAT?!!!
Quote: And on the other hand modeling it's considering a profession and it share some similarities with porn actresses(and some of the actors),
both need to be attractive, both need to watch their health and figure, both involve in taking orders, both don't need to talk much or be
smart, and in both careers many of their workers are subject of plastic operations in order to stay in the business.
Twisting someone else words how mature Napoleon.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: I'm not being funny, but you clearly haven't seen America's next top model!
I did, a bunch of spoiled overemotional bunch of stupid girls that enter one house only until one it's left. Just like most reality shows.
Amercia next top model yeah right because reality television it's so professional.

For future reference please mention any modeling school or agency that there's in the planet ANY. But not americas next top model.Because clearly the girls in Americas next top model are very professional.

Don't tell that to me I'm not the one defending them with what it's one of the most overrated statements I've ever read in my life.[Image: crazy-monkey-emoticon-176.gif]
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: But to say their jobs require nothing more than to 'be attractive'. Wut.
I'm sorry do porn actors do other stuff in porn that I'm unaware about? Do they sing? Do they paint? Do they horse ride?(not the position!!!)Do they do card tricks? Do they do magic tricks? ,Yo yo?
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: The porn industry can't be compared to the regular modelling industry
Yeah you are right porn and modeling they don't share anything in common whatsoever. They are two different field that are lightyears away.[Image: yoyo123.gif]
http://www.ocmodeling.com/aboutus.html
And why it can't be compared to the modeling industry? This would make some sense if you had refuted me one of my statements by the way.

(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: because the porn being created has differing audiences. A guy's looks and performance in a 'typical' straight porno aren't going to be high on the priority list are they?
Really a guys looks and performance in a 'typical' straight porno aren't going to be high on the priority list? Geez I had only mentioned earlier that the porn industry has clearly double standard depending on the gender of their actors, why didn't I said that… oh wait I think I didn't I?.
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: And in case you hadn't noticed, women aren't generally the target audience for 99% of porn (at least not from what I've seen, and I've seen a fair bit).
Stick to the subject man I don't want to hear your sticky sheet histories.[Image: crazy-monkey-emoticon-126.gif]
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: It's a profession for both. There are people who make careers out of it.
Just because made a living by doing a particular line of job that doesn't guarantee you professionalism. Do they have a degree on massages? Considering they do a fair share of massage on camera one should think so. Do they practice their scenes with stunts? The: oh yeah mama, keep going, I'm gonna cum, follows a strict script? Do they practice their dialects and accents like normal actors? Are their lingeries custom made? The sexual positions in a scene need choreography?
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: I'm not going to reel of a list of porn stars, you can look that up yourself.

Im gonna reply you with the same words that you said to me when I told you I'm not gonna search the info for you because you are to lazy for doing it yourself:
Bottom line is nothing is conclusive, and I'll continue to call out the bullshit of anyone who says so when they won't even be arsed to back up their fucking claims. That's not my job. If you say something I think the least you should do is provide better evidence for what you're saying than "the fact is that guys and women who work in this industry have a high level of professionalism".
(May 30, 2014 at 10:11 pm)Napoléon Wrote: Your ignorance of the fact that guys and women work in this industry and have a high level of professionalism is not reason enough to doubt the validity of this being a profession in the first place.
Dude people don't even need to finish high school to do porn!!! The camera man may be a professional, the guy who edits may be a professional, the sound technician may be a professional(And I say may because sometimes there are just people who do as they please) But the actors certainly don't need to be professionals you just need a couple of attractive people who don't have any disability and the guts to start f*****g in from of a camera.

Look I get that you have this either compulsion or desire to demonstrate you are smarter than other people (you show all the signs) but it's okay I don't judge you. Because let's be honest the whole: Is porn acting is considered a profession? I don't care that much. But if you are gonna make a statements contradicting me AT LEAST you could I dunno do it rationally.
I mean if you can't even handle a porn acting debate then what's gonna happen when we debate about theological debate? So listen up you Little Corporal I ain't gonna reply anything you have to say anything at all until you either retract yourself or tell me why I am the ignorant.
I don't care if in the future you define to me de meaning of life and ask me to prove you wrong.

Proving my ignorance yeah right. Let's be realistic pal in this thread in this post
[Image: big-bang-theory.gif]

And what about you two rexbeccarox? Losty? You two gave Kudos to this bunch of baloney words? Don't you wanna rethink that? Do any of what I just said it's wrong?
