I can remember not that long ago, when I used to fly internationally with a complete set of scuba gear (minus the tanks, can't really fly with them), with all my other stuff in a carry on.
Now they want to ding me an insane amount to check the gear (both ways), the TSA goons paw through my gear every fucking time (hope you guys didn't fuck any of it up), not to mention the questions it can trigger (Mr. Cthulhu, why are you travelling with a companion with Chinese and Egyptian visas and military-looking [it isn't] equipment?)
