If someone with proof of god shows up, we'll believe.

If someone shows up with evidence we won't have to "believe." We'd have actual evidence.

I do not "believe" that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning. Every day of my life it has done so. The accumulated evidence says that it will do so again.
