True story regarding homosexual 'slurs'. My wife and I have a friend who is gay. He met us for brunch one time wearing a shirt so loud, it should have come with a volume control. My missus burst out laughing and said, 'Charlie, that shirt is so gay!!'

He said, 'Ellen, I'm gay, you know that.'

Still laughing she said, 'Oh, I didn't mean "gay" as in homosexual, I meant "gay" as in lame.'
