To be fair, Adam and Eve did eventually die. I believe the point of the allegory is that in Eden they were to live forever, but once they were cast out, they were mortal. They were pure, and close to god, but upon eating the fruit, banished from the holy garden and enslaved to man's short hourglass.
In any event, my argument against the bible tends to go like this, i'll bypass the Q & A session because their answers are never relevant in this conversation.
The christian bible was a series of documents put together by the Romans to create a single unifying creed if you will in an effort to bring the various christian sects together between 300-400 AD. There were many existing gospels at the time, almost certainly more than what we have found at this point, but only a select few were chosen. They left out the Gnostic gospels, like the gospel of St. Thomas, and it is believed that they were left out because such documents clearly go against the basic doctrine of the church.
So under this verifiable fact, the church, with the roman empire behind them, compiled a series of documents that all collaborated each other to some extent, and dismissed those that didn't into a "book". The roman empire put a lot of effort into eradicating opposing doctrines, and the roman catholic church spent the next 1200 years or so suppressing the opposition, theists and atheists alike. King James took it upon himself to make these holy documents available to everyone, as up until then it was primarily a congregation listening to a preist and accepting it as the word of god. Since that time, the christian bible has seen numerous revisions and permutations. With each revision the bible has changed dramatically in some areas. It had to keep up with the evolution of the language it was being printed in.
The American English Language is a bastard language, so if you were to attempt a translation from the original scrolls, greek, aramaic, and hebrew to american english you would find that our language is so complex that most of it wouldn't directly translate. So you take the closest match, and as language evolves, the closest match again, and again, until all that remains is a diluted recollection of an old document.
So in a nutshell, the christian bible was propoganda CONSTRUCTED by a group of politicians whose only goal was to unite both an empire and a religion. They cherry picked everything that went into it, and suppressed or destroyed everything that opposed it. It has been printed and reprinted thousands of times over the last 1700 years, rendering it a diluted trinket of an archaic empire. Your bible is false because it was created to perfectly fit a predetermined ideology, then mutilated and diluted by those in power to keep it relevant.

"In our youth, we lacked the maturity, the decency to create gods better than ourselves so that we might have something to aspire to. Instead we are left with a host of deities who were violent, narcissistic, vengeful bullies who reflected our own values. Our gods could have been anything we could imagine, and all we were capable of manifesting were gods who shared the worst of our natures."-Me
"Atheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men." – Francis Bacon
