I did the ASVAB test yesterday and I remember some of the problems I now know I got wrong. I don't remember all of the multiple choices but I'll lay out what I remember and improvise. Here you go:

Auto and Shop Section:

I asked my boss, who is an auto-mechanic, and he explained that the sides would wear out the most and the center only wears out more when you over inflate at tire which makes perfect sense now.

engine speed. i should have thought tachyons which has more to do with speed than time. can you believe i work at an auto repair shop? they've probably only used a tachometer once or twice for the whole year I've been with them.

radial arm saw. I thought radial arm saw, logically, because of the word radial being synonymous to curves or arc. Trying to use 'common sense' got the best of me since "the radial arm saw was the primary tool used for cutting long pieces of stock to length until the introduction of the miter saw in the 1970s."

jigsaw. I asked my dad. He's done a lot of carpentry work. Wiki anyway: "A jigsaw is a tool used for cutting arbitrary curves, such as stenciled designs or other custom shapes, into a piece of wood, metal, or other material."

* What does IC stand for?

induced current. i just couldn't see the benefits of abbreviating any of the other terms and the first letters the first word had to be 'I'

I wikied IC in electronics and found that the letters stand for ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT. wtf

*What is a rheostat?

You either know the answer to this one or you don't. I guess studying greek or latin would help too.
