Ref. Post #18: I said that the atrocities happen because the victims are unwilling to defend themselves. The picture in Post #13 illustrates that. An unknown number of previously armed soldiers refused to fight the guys who are executing them. The soldiers had the material means to defeat the terrorists but they didn't have the guts to fight so they ended up in a ditch all tied up and getting shot at point-blank range. It's their fault. BTW, both the shooters and the victims in that picture are muslims, which negates the argument that the religion is to blame.
Now smart people will see that picture and they may start to think that it'll be foolish for them to ever surrender since they will suffer the same fate. But people hate to think for themselves and a lot of them will end up in ditches being shot at point-blank range because they were gutless.
