In New Jersey.
- Many of my credits won't even transfer. Different board.
- Out-of-state tuition is about four-times the cost. I was in a bad, controlling relationship which put me in Tennessee and this is where I started school.
If that were an option, I don't think I'd be homeless, although there's been a lot of issues because of medical expenses I owe that they have in their name. They were able to send me a little money a couple of times but they live off my dad's social security in a one bedroom apartment. It would be better than this, but it isn't even an option. If I want to finish school, I have to stay here, and that's what the fundraiser is about. It isn't about not living in my car. I can study just fine in my car, I don't need anything fancy. I just need to be back in school. It's my whole future.

I have a hard time understanding why you wouldn't qualify for ssdi since you have autism and depression.
I'm just saying, I'd feel a lot more comfortable donating money to fix your car if you were living with your parents, getting into a school, working your butt off etc etc etc. than if you're living in a car outside a church thinking you're incapable of helping yourself. I'm not insensitive or uncaring. I really do care, but I just want you to know that you really can help yourself. You just have to take opportunities that you don't like sometimes.
Saving up enough to requalify or even to pay out of pocket would take so long, I'd lose the credits I already earned. Giving up over $50,000 of education just to start all over... I wanted to graduate in a couple of years, but what you are suggesting wouldn't allow me to graduate for another 10-15 years...
