I do too Blackers, but what about this perspective.
90% of the worlds population live in fairly squalid conditions.
It is the greed of the other 10% which ensures that it remains that way. That's us, the western world, with our iphones, v8 cars, etc.
Greed is a normal human condition, it is a subset of our survival instincts. So for the foreseeable future, I can't see it getting any better.
Maybe in 1000 years or more?
So right now, If we killed all life on earth, how many billions will not suffer at our expense. I think it's a small price to pay.
I can't stand suffering. We have created a world where there is a huge net sum of suffering. By created I mean, those in power, have the power to change anything and everything but like all Café Christians, we choose the path of least resistance to our lifestyle.
Don't mean to sound down, I just say it as I see it.
Cheers to all! Have a great day! hehe
I really like the quote in your sig, I often feel like I'm the only real atheist here and everyone else only comes here when they are having a bad day at http://www.christianforums.com I'm the only one who can see the world for what it is, and atheists here copy and paste philosophical quotes just like how Christians copy and paste bible verses, I'm the only one who actually thinks for himself. And when they can't find a valid flaw in your argument they use technicalities to sound smart and when they can't even do that, they attack your grammar.
