Anytime a subject is treated as taboo whatever misconceptions or idiocy was present at the time of prohibition tends to stick around until such time as people feel that they can even discuss that-which-should-not-be-named.

I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
