OP: I think you're going about this the wrong way. Religion is not all that is talked about in places like this. For some of us talking about religion is cathartic. This is especially so if an atheist lives in an environment that is saturated with the mental poison. Venting eases tension and that brings benefits.
The problem with theists like you is that you aren't reasonable. Your beliefs aren't founded on logic and that makes us speak different languages. We are disconnected. You are like the spouse that gets beaten up and still claims, "But he loves me."
