No matter how hideous some crimes can be, nothing justifies making another being suffer, there must be no exception to this rule, opening up special cases would lead to progressively consider all criminals should suffer. That's not even the main purpose of the criminal system but ok, the general public seems to understand it that way. I think people who cherish violence and say criminals should be tortured and then executed should pick up the axe and do it themselves, let's seem how brave they really are.
From the article:
(bold mine)
Quote:"I don't believe he was gasping for air; I don't believe he was suffering. It sounded to me like was snoring," said Jeanne Brown, a relative of Wood's victims.
"You don't know what excruciating is. What's excruciating is seeing your dad laying there in a pool of blood, seeing you sister laying there in a pool of blood. This man deserved it. And I shouldn't really call him a man," she said.
There is nothing to the Death Penalty except revenge; it's rarely about removing a dangerous person from society. I think sometimes the loved ones of murder victims, calling for blood, are almost as disgusting as the murderer him or herself.
Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
