Not if those 4 men, assuming there were four men, then had the services of an editor. Or centuries of editors. You assume that an address in a piece of literature is any less fictional than one of the characters? If you called 867-5309 would a girl named Jenny answer the phone?
Do you ever get the feeling, when reading the gospels, that life is entirely too convenient for the writers? That they're always encountering situations which just beg for their theological interpretations? It's almost as if they're actually responding to the un-remembered heresy of others...using "groups of fellow christians with a disagreement" etc; as a half-clever pretext for their screeds against rival cults. Ever get that feeling?
