No, I'm dealing in morality. There is no moral difference between the Israelis and Hamas. They each strive to kill as many of the other as possible, combatant or noncombatant.
Assigning objective quantifications to a subjective issue doesn't strike me as very useful. The implication of such a quantification of morality is that there is an acceptable number of innocent dead. I highly doubt someone as thoughtful as you seem to be would accede to that point; but it is implicit in your line of reasoning.
No, there is not a single acceptable number of dead. For every reason you can conceive why the murder of one innocent individual is morally atrocious, the scale on that side of the balance weighs double with each horrific casualty. The bottom line in a just war is preventing loss of innocent life as much as possible; that is where my point of view is coming from, in which I lay most of the blame on Israel, and that is arguably not a subjective issue.
