This beheading is a serious matter.
Western countries are breeding terrorists who are free to do their terrorism in conflict places like Syria, or what they now call ISIS, or ISIL...
Western governments must address this and that will be tricky.... Claims of "islamophobia" will be used as a shield... attacks on apparent innocents...
Just a few weeks ago, some british woman was convicted of financing some terrorist faction in Syria... money is flowing into these terrorists, not only people.
This needs to stop, but it's oh so tricky!
The question that needs to be answered is are we witnessing a new phenomenon (which I doubt) because if not then this is just another exercise in public scare-mongering as an excuse to bring in more draconian laws under the ubiquitous but ill-defined label of 'national security'.
It's time we challenged this nonsense.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
