Or are you intentionally trying to blur the lines?
I'm not blurring anything at all, but you do seem awfully ignorant. It's as if you haven't heard of the "divine right" theory that kings of that era used to buttress their rule. Which sort of god, Catholic or Protestant, they gained their authority from mattered much to the folks that they would rule. That necessarily blurred the lines between Church and State, which is exactly what I was saying: the Europeans learnt that letting religion interfere with all aspects of life was a damned dangerous thing. So I must suggest that you, yourself, do a little reading, at least enough to equip yourself for this conversation, because you clearly don't know your ass from third base about this little bit of history.
Also, when you do that reading (if you ever bother getting around to it, I'm sure your Bible holds sway in your "education"), you should perhaps focus on reading comprehension, because you seem to have an issue with it; I never said that that war was fought because of a scriptural command, for instance; yet you're acting as if that's what you read. I'll be happy to give you English lessons, but I do think that you'd be less embarrassed if we did that in private.
Another thing: you must have the advantage of height in order to be condescending. Not that you'd know that.
