I quite agree. The whole establishment would crap a brick if this proposal got any traction and both established parties would fight against it. Corruption is so ingrained into our system that it's taken for granted as part of the order of things. Taking the money out would be nothing short of a revolutionary change. Only a grass roots groundswell demanding it would ever make it happen.
