LOL... nobody thought you were a good idea, but thanks to (in spite of) evolution your parents were not gay (or were and still did the squelchy) and survived to have a child, Miss egg met Mr sperm, they shared their genetic information and you were the result. Now, if you already have a child or will have a child, and that child survives then evolution has succeeded again. If you don't/won't for whatever reason then your genetic line will die, an evolutionary dead end.
