The weather is not a good indicator of anything beyond how nice (or not) it's going to be that day. Global warming is a long term trend, not a predictor of daily weather patterns.

The image above is an analogy used by Neil DeGrasse Tyson the series "Cosmos." The path the dog takes is the standard weather deviation. The path the guy walking the dog takes is the long term trend. Notice, the standard weather deviations have little or no affect on the long term trend. This is why global warming is so hard to see for the average person.
The arctic permafrost is seeing it perfectly well though. Tons of frozen vegetable matter (previously permanently frozen) is now thawing every summer and decomposing, releasing tons of CO2 and, even worse, methane, into the atmosphere.
Follow the relationship between CO2, methane and other greenhouse gasses and average temperatures and you'll see a frightening correlation. Then consider the tons of those gasses we pump into the atmosphere outside of natural processes and the picture becomes crystal clear.
We're destroying the habitat we rely on for our survival.

The farmers expect the weather to be favourable to them each year, as if we can tell the weather what we want, but saying this I also think we should keep the planet clean.
