Mine doesn't call me at all and I have decided that's probably best for my mental health.
I know what you mean. Have you tried calling him on your birthday? Sometimes people just need that little extra push.
Yeah, I have. He suffered congestive heart failure about a year ago. I spent nearly every night with him for weeks to months, sleeping in a chair in his room most of the time, despite it being two hours from work and home.
