The south having worse food? I don't think that they actually tried any southern food. What'd they do, eat at Dennys?

Too much refined sugar with everything, too many ingredients in the food (eg the American hot dog being: white bun, frankfurt, mustard, relish, cheese, onion, bacon - the Australian version being a sausage, onion and a slice of bread with tomato sauce or mustard). I'm not dissing the American hot dog, personally I like it but it's to excess when it's the standard.

There's a hell of a lot more to American cuisine than hot dogs and the like (at least there is around here). I haven't eaten one in quite some time, and I don't exactly have the healthiest eating habits.

And too much tinned fruit and vegetables. They said they ordered green beans at a restaurant and got tinned beans battered and deep fried! That's just about the most disgusting thing I've ever heard.

Sounds disgusting to me too. Can't say I've ever heard of anyone serving shit like that.
