I know, tack. The problem there is that western society revolted against the barbarism of the church after the horrors of the 30 Years War. Islam has never had its Enlightenment.... and it desperately needs one.
Xtianity did not evolve out of barbarism as much as people stopped listening to their bullshit. Fortunate, but it was not xtians leading the way. To this day I still think that there are a lot of preachers who are not angry at the mullahs but jealous of their temporal power.
