There have been atheists who committed horrible crimes. Though not because they read in a book that they'd have eternal paradise if they did it. Or be in eternal torture if they didn't.
I'm not sure why Yahweh would have the right to kill things he created, and not people. Men and women create other Humans all the time. It's not difficult. Free thinking beings should not be treated as property, even though Yahweh approves of it.
